I bought a Sirius Satellite radio with a car kit about a week or so ago and finally got around to activating it yesterday. I have to say that I’m not entirely pleased with it. I’ve only used it in the truck so far because I’d need to buy a home kit to use it there. The car kit transmits the satellite signal through an FM tranceiver to the stereo but there’s a lot of static, I assume it’s because of the wireless transmission but I’m not certain. I suppose it could be because of the satelite signal – I can’t seem to get a strong signal anywhere. I’ll give it a few more days but I’ll probably end up selling it on Ebay or something. Good thing I only activated it for a month.

I put gas in the pocket bike today because I was going to take it to work to finally try it out. It came with this mixing container to mix the oil and gas but it didn’t come with a funnel, so when filling the tank the gas got all over the place. Now my garage smells like a gas station. Needless to say I left the bike at home so the gas that spilled down the side would evaporate and not stink up my truck. Dammit! I really wanted to try it today. It’s been a while since I’ve made a fool out of myself in front of my co-workers. I wonder if I can pop a wheelie on that thing….

Nine more days until Christmas!!

Just minding my own business, when outta no where there she was

Something has happened recently that I thought would never happen in my lifetime. For those of you who know me that I haven’t told, you’d better be sitting down. For those who don’t know me, I’ve always adamantly told everyone for the longest time that the only way I’m ever going to get married is if I found Ms. Wow. Well, I found her and I just got engaged to her on 12/7. I never thought I’d meet her, let alone be able to marry her, but there she was – and she found me! We’ve set a date of 4/23 for the wedding. Nickey just bought the gown today and we’ve already done so much planning. I can’t wait to get started in my new life with her – she is my missing piece, my best friend, and the love of my life. The best part is that she feels the same way about me.

But the waiting is the hardest part

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:02 pm

One of the hardest things I’ve had to do of late is leave for a visit to go see my mom, which I’m nearing the completion of now. It’s hard because it’s been so hard to leave Nickey behind (the trip was planned before I met her). I’ve tried to enjoy my visit with my mom as much as possible, and I have enjoyed my time with her, but I still can’t wait to get back to see Nickey and Hayden again. Part of me is missing right now, and it’s waiting for me at home. In just a little over 21 hours I’ll be back home and complete once again. I just can’t wait.

I gotta say, I never thought I’d feel this way.
